INGREDIENTS: Each enteric coated capsule contains Peppermint Oil 0.2mL Mintec For IBS (peppermint oil) provides relief from the painful, disruptive and sometimes embarrassing symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This simple but highly effective medication comes as tablets, which can be taken as-needed before meals to soothe and relax the bowel. When taken as directed, Mintec For IBS eliminates or minimizes symptoms of: Bloating Gas Cramping Audible abdominal noises Other abdominal discomfort The active ingredient in Mintec For IBS is peppermint oil, an antispasmodic which has been used to relieve digestive ailments for centuries. In more modern times, the oil has been proven in countless clinical studies to relax and soothe the bowels. In IBS, and some other conditions, the bowels tend to spasm and contract more often than they should, causing pain and other symptoms. In relaxing the smooth muscles in the bowel, peppermint oil alleviates these symptoms and promotes normal bowel function. Mintec For IBS tablets are enteric coated to bypass stomach acid and release the peppermint oil in the bowel where it's needed. For this reason it's important to swallow pills whole and not crush, chew, split or otherwise damage the coating. Peppermint oil released in the stomach may cause heartburn and other unpleasant symptoms, while doing little to alleviate IBS symptoms. Symptoms can be further alleviated by identifying and avoiding triggers, such as certain foods or stress, as much as possible. Unfortunately avoidance is not always possible—those are the times Mintec For IBS is indispensable. Tablets are crafted with sensitive digestive systems in mind, and are free of lactose, glucose and other common irritants. Mintec For IBS does not need to be chilled and can easily be carried on-the-go or stored at work, school, in the car or anywhere else it's on-hand when needed. Directions for Use Treatment with Mintec For IBS is very simple, but it is important to take the medication correctly for maximum results. Most important is to remember to take a dose around 30 minutes before eating a meal, and following each dose with a glass of cool water. Taking tablets on a full stomach or with a hot beverage may cause the peppermint oil to be released early, which will provide little relief in the bowels. The standard dose is one tablet taken three times per day, before meals. However, up to six tablets can safely be taken per day; if eating multiple smaller meals additional tablets can be taken at those times, or if IBS is particularly severe two tablets can be taken before meals, up to three times per day. For many people IBS symptoms are sporadic; they may develop only during times of stress, may be worse in the evening, or may otherwise vary by individual. It is not necessary to take Mintec For IBS continually for relief; treatment can stop and start at any time as needed. Considerations before Use Most otherwise healthy adults can enjoy the benefits of Mintec For IBS without any side effects. However, some individuals are at greater risk of experiencing potentially serious complications and should discuss risks with a doctor before use, namely those who: Are pregnant or breastfeeding Are severely constipated Have a history of bleeding from the bowels Have an infection in the bowel Are taking prescription medications Many people take Mintec For IBS to alleviate similar symptoms caused by other conditions, such as to reduce bloating associated with menstruation, to soothe cramping caused by lactose intolerance, or simply to resolve symptoms of unknown cause. The product works well in many of these cases; however, keep in mind that if these symptoms are severe or persistent they may indicate a serious underlying problem that should be investigated by a doctor.
